On November 6th, 2001, the first episode of 24 aired on FOX, kicking off an incredibly successful series that re-defined action on TV.
A new era will begin in January with the debut of 24: Legacy, FOX's show set in the same world as the original, and IGN has your first look at the newest incarnation of one of the mainstays of 24, CTU. Check out the exclusive image below, featuring 24: Legacy's Mirando Otto (The Lord of the Rings, Homeland) inside the latest CTU office.
Corey Hawkins (The Walking Dead, Straight Outta Compton) stars in 24: Legacy as Eric Carter, an ex-Army Ranger who discovers he and his squad mates are targeted for assassination, as retaliation for taking out a terrorist leader.
Otto plays Rebecca Ingram, who is just in the process of stepping down as the head of CTU when Legacy begins, handing over the reins to Keith Mullins (The Flash's Teddy Sears). Rebecca's husband, Senator John Donovan (Jimmy Smits), meanwhile is campaigning for president, as 24 returns with another real time adventure, where, per usual, many characters' loyalties are questionable. Returning from the original 24 is Carlos Bernard as Tony Almeida.
To mark 24's 15th anniversary, the official 24 Twitter account is celebrating with looks back at many iconic 24 moments, along with more hints at what's to come when 24: Legacy premieres after the Super Bowl on February 5th. Last month at New York Comic Con, the first half of the 24: Legacy premiere screened to great response.
