Battlefield 1 Had the 'Biggest Launch' In DICE's History

That's a lot of pigeons.

Less than three weeks after its launch, DICE announced today Battlefield 1 had the "biggest launch" in the company's 22 year history, though it didn't specify how many units the game has sold thus far.

Announced alongside an infographic, DICE also revealed players spent over 59 million accumulative hours in the first person shooter, with nine million of those spent in operations.

It also boasted 32 million Battlepacks had been earned, 842,426 carrier pigeons had been deployed, and 123,084 horses had been killed in-combat.

The World War 1 game is one of the series' more well-received titles in recent memory. In our Battlefield 1 review we gave it a 9, praising its adaptation of the Battlefield formula to fit a World War 1 setting.
