Remedy Entertainment, the developer behind games such as Max Payne 1 and 2, Alan Wake, and most recently Quantum Break, is teasing the release of a new game trailer.
Starring Sam Lake, Remedy's Creative Director, the brief video (seen below) shows a montage of Lake introducing himself before revealing the company's plans to release a new trailer soon. What this new game is, or when the trailer will drop, remains to be seen.
While no timing is given, upcoming events in just a couple weeks include The Game Awards and PlayStation Experience, so either one could be a candidate.
Earlier this year, Remedy released the time-travel drama Quantum Break, so it may be a little surprising that the company already has a new project to show off. However, in June it announced it had split its studio into two teams and that it was working on two separate AAA games. While it did say neither of those are sequels to its cult hit Alan Wake, a new trademark for the series was spotted back in February.
Additionally, Remedy is co-developing a sequel to Crossfire (via Polygon), one of the most popular shooters in the world. It is working on the game's story mode. We will keep up with this story as it develops.
