Michael Fassbender, who's set to reprise his role as David in Alien: Covenant, has shared a new detail about Ridley Scott's upcoming sci-fi thriller -- the new name given to the film's Xenomorphs.
Warning: Alien: Covenant spoilers ahead.
In an interview with BBC Radio 2 (as reported by Birth.Movies.Death.), Fassbender appears to have inadvertently let the cat out of the bag a bit early, referring to the film's alien monster creatures as "Neomorphs."
In addition to confirming that "Neomorph" is indeed the name given to the new type of Alien fans will see in Covenant, the Alien vs. Predator Galaxy site has several other potentially spoiler-heavy details about these new creatures, including their origins and the role they serve in the film's plot. While there's no way to confirm that chatter, consider it rumor for now. You can read the details over at AvPGalaxy.
Alien: Covenant opens in theaters on August 4, 2017. The film is targeting a "pretty hard R" rating and will have plenty of practical effects.
