Marvel's movie plans haven't been officially laid out for the convention, though Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson hinted he will be attendance. Several of the characters in the Hasbro SDCC exclusive have already made their Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance thanks to 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy. Guardians and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn replied to Derrickson's Comic-Con tweet also suggesting he "might have to come see" Derrickson at the convention.
On the TV side of things, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke Cage, and the company's animated slate will each have panels. And to celebrate Captain America's 75th anniversary, a 13-foot statue of Cap that will eventually make its home in Brooklyn, New York is being unveiled at the show.
