Game of Thrones Season 1 will air unedited on Canadian network station CTV this summer, the network announced.
The CTV broadcast will be the first time Game of Thrones has aired on network television in North America, and the show will also be available on CTV Go. Beginning Monday, August 8 at 10 p.m., Game of Thrones will air for 10 straight nights, one episode a day, until the Season 1 finale airs Friday, August 19.
All 10 episodes will be broadcast "intact, unedited, and with reduced commercial time." CTV is adamant Game of Thrones is not suitable for children, though, and so the network will take precautions with "appropriate viewer disclaimers" throughout each episode.
Here's the full schedule:
- Monday, Aug. 8: Episode 1 — Winter is Coming
- Tuesday, Aug. 9: Episode 2 — The Kingsroad
- Wednesday, Aug. 10: Episode 3 — Lord Snow
- Thursday, Aug. 11: Episode 4 — Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things
- Friday, Aug. 12: Episode 5 — The Wolf and the Lion
- Monday, Aug. 15: Episode 6 — A Golden Crown
- Tuesday, Aug. 16: Episode 7 — You Win or You Die
- Wednesday, Aug. 17: Episode 8 — The Pointy End
- Thursday, Aug. 18: Episode 9 — Baelor
- Friday, Aug. 19: Episode 10 — Fire and Blood
This should come as good news to Canadian fans who were disheartened to hear that production on Game of Thrones' Season 7 will likely be delayed. It's just one more thing to keep fans busy this summer while waiting for the show's return next year.
