20th Century Fox is reportedly looking to revive How I Met Your Mother.
According to Deadline, Fox has expressed interest in bringing the main series back for new seasons.
"I hope we will have an opportunity to revisit these characters and tell these stories if (the creators and stars) have the desire to do it," 20th Century Fox TV chairman Dana Walden said. "It's a beloved show that still continues to be popular all over the world."
However, nothing's set in stone yet, and Fox would have a few hurdles to overcome if it wants to revive the series, as creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are currently under a deal at Sony TV.
A spinoff series, titled How I Met Your Dad, received a pilot order in 2014, but never received a full series order by CBS. However, a new series in the same vein as the canceled HIMYM spinoff series is now in the works.
